The Island of the Dolls is a strange and eerie place located on the outskirts of Mexico City. The island is covered in trees and foliage, and hundreds of dolls hang from its branches, some weathered and old and others looking new.
It is said that many years ago, a man named Don Julian lived alone on the island. One day, he found the body of a young girl in the nearby canal, and soon after began to hear childish laughter and whispers in the darkness. Believing that the girl had been killed by evil spirits, Don Julian began to collect dolls from the trash heaps of Mexico City and hang them on the island to protect himself.
However, over time, the dolls became more than just protection. It is said that Don Julian became obsessed with them, talking to them as if they were alive and changing their clothes and hairstyles regularly.
Visitors to the island would say that the dolls seemed to move on their own, and often heard laughter and weeping in the darkness.
One day, Don Julian was found dead in the canal, drowned. Since then, the island has been considered a haunted place, inhabited by the spirit of the dead girl and watched over by the dolls that Don Julian hung there. Despite its macabre reputation, some adventurers still visit the island, drawn by its aura of mystery and terror.
